VERITAS offers two specialist services, engineering advisory and capability development (training), delivered by one team. The senior engineers and other senior professionals who lead our engagement across our service lines, are the same people who train, facilitate and mentor your workforce. Our instruction is grounded in current practice, and our advice is shaped by the discipline of teaching it. We teach what we practice and practice what we teach, so every engagement transfers capability rather than just delivering a report.

Engineering Advisory and Consulting Services

VERITAS provides independent engineering and advisory services across the full asset life cycle, from strategy, requirements and design management through safety assurance, commissioning and operational readiness to through-life asset management and inspection. Systems engineering, safety engineering, asset management, risk management, operational excellence, cyber security, assurance and P3 services are delivered by one senior team, so advice is integrated rather than passed between specialists. VERITAS is a Transport for NSW Technically Assured Organisation (TAO 176) and serves rail, transport, power, water, resources, manufacturing, defence and aviation clients operating asset-intensive, hazardous and time-critical networks. Typically, the Engineer who scopes the work delivers it, our outputs are built to withstand Board and regulator scrutiny, and our clients have scored us above 95% on average since 2017.

Capability Development

Training & Mentoring Programs

VERITAS trains the way it consults: the Senior Engineers who lead our advisory engagements also design and deliver our training, coaching and mentoring. Our content is not readily available through other providers. It is developed from our own practice in asset management, systems and safety engineering, operational excellence, risk and cyber security, and is tailored to each client's framework, data and live projects rather than drawn from a generic catalogue. Programs include on-the-job coaching and post-course mentoring from senior practitioners, so capability stays with your people.

How We Work

One system, start to finish

VERITAS operates a single Integrated Management System, aligned to ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, 45001 and 55001 and reviewed by Transport for NSW under our TAO certification, that governs how every engagement is scoped, resourced, delivered and closed out. Scope, schedule and milestones are agreed up front, change is formally controlled, and every deliverable passes through technical and quality review, independent peer review and Project Director sign-off before it reaches the client. The same system applies to our own personnel and our delivery partners, and client feedback from every engagement is fed back into it, so an engagement runs the same way whoever is in the room.

We start from the objective, not the brief

Before we define scope, we establish the strategic objective the program exists to serve. Scope then follows from purpose, not the other way around, and that is the difference between delivering what was asked for and delivering what was needed.

Experienced Senior Resources

VERITAS does not leverage junior teams behind a senior face. Our consultants are sector practitioners who come from the industries they now advise, and they are engaged directly on your work from scoping through to close-out. The people you meet in the proposal are the people who deliver the engagement.

Measured and rated by the client

Measuring so we can improve is part of VERITAS' DNA. Every advisory engagement is monitored throughout and formally scored by the client at its conclusion against four criteria: Personnel, Quality, Methodology and Values. Training is held to the same discipline: every course is evaluated by participants on completion, learning is confirmed through competency assessment where the program requires it, and post-course mentoring tests whether what was taught is being applied in the workplace. We publish the results without exception: a 95.0% average across every completed project since 2017, and participant satisfaction consistently above 93%. Both feed back into our management system and the way we deliver the next engagement and the next cohort.

From one client to 3 east coast offices

VERITAS began in Sydney in March 2017 with one client. Results for Sydney Metro, Transport for NSW and John Holland Rail Country Regional Network contract did the rest, and the firm has grown client by client ever since. TAO certification in 2021 and the NSW SCM0005 and SCM0020 panels anchored us in New South Wales. Melbourne opened to serve Victoria and South Australia through the Victorian PAS SPC panel. Brisbane followed, backed by a three-year MoU with QMI and ICN Queensland to build sovereign manufacturing capability in the regions. Nine years on, VERITAS operates from three east-coast offices with more than 300 years of collective experience behind every engagement, a 95%+ client score on every project since 2017.
