Veritas Asia Pacific Pty Ltd (VERITAS) have articulated the organisation’s Environmental Management Policy to provide direction to its management, staff, contract personnel and business partners (collectively termed personnel) to provide clarity and foundation for the safe delivery of our services in an environmentally responsible manner.

VERITAS provides independent, impartial, reliable and sustainable solutions to its Clients that operate in asset intensive environments. Our suite of services considers the environment from the outset, as well as the whole cost of asset ownership, the environmental impact of operating, maintaining and decommissioning assets as well as their disposal.

These considerations shape the recommendations made and solutions proposed to our clients to deliver their objectives in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.

VERITAS also endeavours to reduce its environmental impact and the footprint of all our business activities. We also promote environmental sustainability and reducing our carbon emissions through the following initiatives:

  • Our Sydney offices was chosen due to its 4.5 Star NABERS Energy Rating (5.5 Stars with Green Power) and its proximal location to our Clients;
  • We travel using all modes of public transport where it is available and practicable;
  • We actively recycle scarce and valuable resources (this includes paper, toner cartridges, coffee cups and we proactively separate these resources from general waste); and
  • We deliver documents in electronic format wherever possible, reducing the need for paper printing. When we are required to deliver hard copy documentation, we choose paper stock with high recycled fibre content and low content of bleaching agents.

VERITAS’ Environmental Policy provides a direction for the continual improvement of our Integrated Management System (IMS) and sets our commitments for managing risks. In all our initiatives and activities, VERITAS commits to:

  • Preventing or minimising pollution and the generation of waste;
  • Systematically reviewing our IMS to ensure that our significant risks are identified and managed, our environmental objectives and targets are current and our legal and other requirements are addressed;
  • Ensuring corrective action in response to non-compliance and other related environmental related complaints with minimal delay;
  • Having a robust relationship with all environmental agencies and rail regulators;
  • Ensuring that employees, contractors and business partners are appropriately inducted and have sufficient competencies to perform their duties; and
  • Periodically reviewing and auditing our IMS, including this Environmental Policy.
